Lake View Lodge & Outdoor Bath

A bit disappointing Positive: Beautiful location. Host really responsive and nice. Negative: I felt like we had been a little bit fooled. The "lake" is a pond, which is fine as it's a lovely location, but the deck pictured was grubby and not well cared for. The hammock was mouldy and you can't really get to it. There were 3 of us and the sofa bed was really really bad. So uncomfortable and the bedding didn't really fit. The place hadn't been properly cleaned. Cobwebs, grubby walls, dirty rugs. For that price, you expect more - it just feels like they do the bare minimum and don't make it a nice experience. No little bottle of milk for your tea, tv didn't really work, no music speaker, plants and flowers were plastic, sheets and towels were old. The host was super nice and the location is fab. It just needs some love and it would then be a great place to stay.

Had a nice stay but above does need to be addressed, l won’t stay again because it needs patio door onto decking had to Positive: Location ok Negative: Bobbly bedsheet on main bed, they had been told a year ago on visitor’s book but still using it, l found a spare in drawer Bed/settee absolutely atrocious that also been mentioned a few times before in book 1and a half toilet rolls for four nights, 2 very small towels and one bath sheet for four nights

Positive: Peaceful , country location with easy access to East Grinstead. Outdoor bath with view of small lake was lovely after a hot day.

Lovely lodge great bathtub cleaning charge not warranted and needs a little detail spent Positive: We loved the bathtub in the garden and how local it was to everything but hidden away and rather secluded. The lodge had everything you needed except for a pizza cutter but we decided to go out to get italian instead Negative: The lodge was very cobwebby and lots of spiders on arrival thankfully i had my hoover and cleaning stuff so gave everything a clean (£80 cleaning charge was definitely a rip off due to this, sides were dusty, and little dead bug droppings under things - i clean air bnbs for a living) there was also a wasps nest in the roof the host did not reply to us until we had already checked out to say pest control would be called. The garden could be better thought out as you can not access from the lodge without going out the front door and through a gate. The fence does not close off the whole garden either and access to the hammock which could do with a wash was near impossible.

A lovely cosy getaway with great facilities and lovely feel Positive: How secluded it was, and very well equipped. Negative: We liked everything
